des marais salants de l’Île de Ré.
A laudable sentiment that purports to confer legitimacy on the claims made throughout a largely turgid, if informative, book, the principal redeeming characteristic of which is the entertainment afforded by the leitmotivistic vilification of the Mayor of Loix, who may or may not deserve it. I suspect the latter.
An interesting read insofar as it lends colour to our understanding of the Île de Ré. A most unusual choice of diversion for me, all the same.
